This is an oil painting I did based on a photograph taken by Brandon Stanton. I was so captivated by this woman's beauty that I had to paint it. It was a wonderful change of pace for me to work with bright colours
This is a painting collaboration between myself and another artist, together know as Kid Dynamite. It's titled "South Armagh" and is 8 feet high by 6 feet wide.
My grandpa was a bomber pilot in WW2, and I came across this photograph he took of a plane he flew. I decided to paint it in acrylics at last night's art rumble.
There is a wonderful place in Calgary Alberta called the Rumble House. It's an art venue that hosts weekly art rumbles and figure drawing nights. I did this painting at my first ever art rumble, where everyone had two hours to paint something to be auctioned off at the end of the night. I went against my usual stubborn oil paint ways and painted this with acrylics.
I received this tiny old photo booth picture to paint that was taken about 50 years ago. The edges are falling apart, there are wrinkles through the image, and it is generally falling apart. My client wanted the photo restored but couldn't find a place that would do it, so they came to me to paint and remake it.
